EventsPULSE seminar: Nanoscale Transformation in Nanowires and Nanocrystals
Date: July 10, 2008
Time: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm When: 4pm, Thursday, 10th, July
Where: R322, on the 3rd floor of B137 Speaker: Yi Cui, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Stanford University Title: Nanoscale Transformation in Nanowires and Nanocrystals: Implication to Energy and Electronics Science Abstract: This presentation will give an overview on the research program in my group, which is centered on studying and engineering nanoscale transformation for energy and electronics applications. Chemically synthesized nanowires and nanocrystals are model systems in the study. Examples include nanostructured electrochemical energy storage, phase-change memory and solar cells. I would like to promote the discussion with scientists at SLAC on the potential collaboration, which explores the unique capability in laser labs, SSRL and LCLS.
