The SLAC Environment, Safety, and Health Manual (SLAC-I-720-0A29Z-001-R023) is being revised.

This Chapter 25, ?Portable Tools?, has been revised in its entirety. It has been amended to include more detailed information on the program?s requirements and how they are implemented at SLAC. Highlights are

• General requirements for procurement, selection, use, and personal protective equipment
• A set of detailed requirement documents specific to different types of tools

This document replaces the existing Chapter 25, ?Tools, Power and Hand-Operated?, published in January 1996.
