A&E ADA Restroom Renovation

Date: May 30, 2006
The southwest corner restrooms for Men and Women in the A&E Building will be closed for construction to bring the existing restrooms to be ADA compliant. It will also change the drinking fountain near the main West door to ADA compliant and the telephone station near the door.

A temporary wall has been constructed in the hallway to protect SLAC personnel from dust, dirt, and noisy construction area. Unauthorized personnel are not to pass the temporary wall. This is for your safety.

All work will be verified by the UTR and the Project manager.

Update: The project is Closing down but the restrooms will remain closed until next Wednesday for finishing and safety.

The new drinking fountain coolers are installed and functioning. The handicap rails will be installed shortly.
The Subcontractor will be working the thresholds when they arrive (special order).

The partitions are installed and the other necessary amenities are being worked on.

Touch-up and finish painting will continue.

Due to the man-power loading of the partition sub, the expected opening of the restrooms should be the 11th of October.
