Workshop: Cosmological Implications of the Extragalactic Background Light

Date: December 15, 2009
Time: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
"Cosmological Implications of the Extragalactic Background Light"

Workshop
Tuesday December 15, 2009
9 AM - 6 PM
Kavli Auditorium, Fred Kavli Building
SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory
2575 Sand Hill Road
Menlo Park, CA 94025

Rationale:

The Extragalactic Background Light is now characterized across all wavelengths, from radio to gamma-ray. We aim to bring together the diverse and scattered community of people working in all of these regimes for a one day workshop, to discuss in an informal way the cosmological implications of recent data and modeling. These implications of the EBL include galaxy formation (radio, IR, optical), AGN evolution (radio, X-rays, gamma-rays), precision cosmology (microwave), cluster evolution (microwave), and dark matter scenarios (X-rays, gamma-rays), among others.

We look forward to a stimulating one day workshop of speakers and discussion, with an aim toward developing collaborations and sharing and exploring new ideas.

Please see workshop Web page for a list of speakers.
