Medical Care During the Holiday Shutdown

The SLAC Medical Department is closed during the holiday shutdown. As usual, if you have a serious injury, either you or the reporting party should call 911 and then call SLAC Site Security (x5555).

If you have a work-related non-emergency injury, you may seek treatment from one of the following healthcare providers:

Alliance Occupational Medicine will be closed on Christmas Day, December 25, and New Year's Day, January 1. They will close at noon on Christmas Eve, December 24, and on New Year's Eve, December 31. They also have shortened their hours the rest of the days of Christmas and New Year’s week from 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. They will resume their normal work hours on Monday, January 5.

Workforce Medical will be closed on Christmas Day, December 25, and New Year's Day, January 1. They will close at noon on Christmas Eve, December 24, and on New Year's Eve, December 31. Otherwise, they will work their normal hours.

For any occurrences that require medical attention during Workforce Medical and Alliance Occupational Medicine closures, please go to Stanford Hospital Emergency Services & Prompt Care. They are open 24 hours a day.

Notify the SLAC Medical Department by phone (x2281) or email. Leave a message noting:

  • Your name
  • Nature of the injury
  • Time and date of the occurrence
  • Name of clinic or hospital where you received treatment

When the Medical Department opens for business on January 5, 2009, you will be sent an SU-17 to complete.
