Photos from the GLAST Launch

At 9:05 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, the Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST) rocketed into space. Congratulations to everyone involved in the GLAST mission!

The following photos were taken by Marcus Ziegler of the Santa Cruz Institute for Particle Physics at U.C. Santa Cruz. He and other GLAST collaborators viewed the launch from Florida's Cherie Down Park.
