The first electron beam produced by the LCLS injector on April 5, 2007. The image shows the beam on a diagnostic viewer approximately 80 cm from the gun. Beam energy is 5.5MeV, pulse length is 6ps (full width half max), drive laser pulse energy was 50 microjoules producing a charge of 60pC.
