Alpine Gate Closed

The Alpine Gate is now closed to regular traffic and will remain closed during construction of the Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS). The Alpine Gate is now used exclusively by construction vehicles, heavy equipment, and construction workers. Everyone else needs to use the main gate entrance on Sand Hill Road during the construction period. "The closures are really to protect employees," said LCLS conventional facilities manager David Saenz.
